I want to take a brief break from productivity tips to share a feature that has been bringing me genuine joy. In watchOS 11, the Photos watch face displays a photo from a shuffled set of images every time you raise your wrist or tap the screen. Like the Lock Screen customization on iPhone and iPad, the Photos face can automatically pick images of your favorite people, nature, and cities from your photo library. You can also choose the photos yourself. The time appears in a spot and size that suits each image.
For years, I relied on the complication-heavy Modular face, but I have to admit that being surprised by a lovely image from my own photo library has been delightful.
To add the Photos face, open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap Face Gallery, and tap the Photos face. Then choose where the photos come from, select the time size, and add any complications you like. Once it is on your Apple Watch, you can fine-tune the style settings right on the watch too.
